hi,

i would be interested to hear if anyone uses ephedrine to help with low b.p.

i'm c4/5 comp and have always, 18yrs, wore a corset to assist low bp, but have noticed low bp becoming more pronounced over past year.

any tips gratefully received

Yes Nat, my son could not get out of bed without it and he used it for quite some time.  His BP was extremely low sometimes we could not even get a reading and he was passing out a lot.  Sorry this reply is so late.  I have just found your posting!
Hope you are well and that your BP has behaved itself!

Where are you guys getting (ephedrine) Here across the pond in the US we can't get it any longer due to the speed freaks.  Its was the only thing that keep me from leaking urine.

Prescription from GP.

Although when Nick was in the hospital in London he couldn't have any, they could not get any but Stoke Mandeville Spinal Rehab put him on ephedrine as soon as he arrived there.

I have it on my repeat prescription, and take it from time to time when I can hardly sit up, but it gives me horrendous nausea for the first hour or so, and ups spasm a bit, but definitely works. I also like to boost circulation & bp with anti-embolism (over the knee!) anti-dvt flight socks - not as painful as hospital issue teg/d?s stockings - they squeeze in graduated strengths, and reduce ankle swelling better than anything I've tried. Recommend them, and you can get them on e-bay for half the price as med supply shops online. IE 2 pair for £7.95... They are good!
