Hi all When washing my brother-in-laws feet this morning ,i noticed that between the toe nail and the skin was a green spot .I gently pressed the area and poison came out. I then checked the other foot and it's the same .It's the big toe .His mum cut his toe nail a couple of days ago and there was nothing there . I told him we need to get it checked out he wonts to leave it for a few days .What should i do.Don't wont to go behind his back but i am worried .

Hi Miss Piggy
"Doc Spock" here!! (LOL) I suggest a quiet word with your doc/health visitor. Could be just a nick when the nails were being cut she may not have been aware it happened, him not being able to sense would not know either. COuld be something or nothing but best to check.
You only have his welfare at heart.

Maybe they should call me "Superhero" member!
Nae worries. It's the medical training - having to be a doctor before I chose anything else.

missed this subject first time, feet are very important to look after with circulatory problems, little things can turn nasty very quickly, hopefully this case will prove to be nothing. After problems myself I have 6 weekly visits from a chiropodist to look after my feet, cut nails etc since then everthings been better for me
did things get better for b in law?

Hi all The district nurse i usually see,has left to have a baby ,So the new one is coming round one day this week ,so i can speak to her .Both toes had blisters where the poison was coming from ,they have now burst and left like a small hole .No poison is left now ,but like you say his feet are so important . Will keep you all informed .

Good to hear things are healing I wear the support stockings every day too, used to have similar problems too with pinching toes, You can get same stockings in open toe which are as good but importantly don't pinch toes and let feet breathe a bit too. Mine are on prescription and are also available in black too which are way better than those nasty beige tan ones , if you need more info I'll get it for you
