It is no bother.  Dogs for disabled was collectiong outside of local Tesco's a couple of weeks ago, they had there very well behaved dogs there.  Marie and Venny were local, So I thought that was maybe why they were there. do hope they also had a successful day.

Hi Andy,

Would it be a good idea to make this a sticky?

Or even have a separate Charity thread?

Best wishes,  Ulla

Hi Cate,
making a topic sticky puts it at the top of the postings, rather than it being bumped to the top after a reply,

overall fundraising is good for the charity, I have a yearly fundraiser called the 'dogs breakfast' in my garden where we sell tea/coffee bacon butties and cake to raise money too , last year the event bought in £1100!

Andy, I notice the Pounds for Hounds page has now past it's sell by date but I would still like to make a small donation to this worthwhile cause, how can I do this ?
To an animal lover like myself who couldn't have got through the last couple of decades of illness and disability without her moggies, the idea of training a dog to not only act as companion but to assist in practical ways is a really brilliant concept.
Best wishes to Henry !

What a handsome and talented young man your Henry is !
I've just made a small donation over the phone [easier for me than filling out a long online form] and they've added me to their mailing list.
Was interested to see they're based in Banbury, I live in Bicester which is the next town along.

Just checked out details of open days on the website - unfortunately at the moment I wouldn't be able to get there for the required 10.30am start due to poor health in the mornings but I'll bare it in mind if my morning health improves - it certainly does sound interesting.
