excuse me, is there any therapist there i have a question?
is Infrared Radiation recommended for patients with pressure sores? isnt it contraindicated because of sensual impairment? most of the patient with pressure sores are paralyzed or something right? would you still perform the IRR treatment or not?? and according to the book i read, clayton's electrotherapy, IRR shouldnt be considered as an appropriate treatment for pressure sores because it may inhibit the healing and dehydrate the tissue. but my professor still insist that it is the appropriate treatment pls help me i really dont know
pls reply tnx

I'm not a PT so I can't really answer your question, but it might help to ask over in the general discussions forum, you might have better luck there as it's more busy.
good luck Smiley
