Hi Lulaholden,

welcome to the forums, Smiley

any massage should be beneficial for your boyfriend ity aids circulation and skin regeneration too.  I'm not sure how it may affect pain levels though, hopefully other members may have som useful input for you

Hi,

Just be gentle to start off.

I knew of someone who had an autonomic dysreflexic reaction due to over zealous massage!

Regards

Gentle massage is good for you, however, as previously said having suffered neuropathy for 20 years - it will not help this condition. Each individual has to have medication geared around them and although it will ease it will not cure. You just have to grin and bear it. As a doctor if there was miracle cure - I would have it!

I am incomplete, not quad, but do have rather persistent and strong pain in my hands, the outer hands.  I have worked with a friend who is certified in acupuncture and she consistently is able to reduce my pain. The effect lasts only 24 hours or so I'm afraid.  Perhaps if you consult with a practitioner she could tell you which pressure points to focus on.
