 Cheesy

Some more good news from the world of research. I don't know if this helps at all with actual feeling but it certainly is wonderful news for both tetraplegics and paraplegics. I know my partner could have greater independence with this.

Shall follow it closely.
Anyone else aware of this?

How are you bud?

This technique was first used in USA on a vent dependant quad. By putting a chip into his brain he suddenly after years of unable to do anything became independatn gain.

I think it is fantastic what they are able to do now. I firmly believe that by the time my nieces and nephews are my age (the youngest is only 14) that SCI will be curable. They are so close just now. Imagine only seeing wheelchairs in pictures. Bring it on.

You tell your partner to hang on in there.

I met a padre from the forces the other day who suffered a bad lumbar back injuiry in a chopper crash 12 weeks ago. This guy is SO determined to overcome his injury. He cannot wait for therapy to start. When I told him that he could still have some compromise he told me "Gary, to escape a crash like that I am just glad to be alive."

Says it all.

Hey Gary bud!

All is well. Partner is really looking forward to coming home full time soon - 15 November is now the date. Can't wait can't wait can't wait.  Cheesy

He has read your last postings and they have been a great help to him.

He's doing more than hanging in there, when he was at home this weekend I even had a beer ready for me on the table when I came back in from tidying up the garage! With that kind of treatment, of course I want him back home!  Cool

Yes, it is wonderful the advances that are being made, we're getting there, slowly but surely does it. That's my motto these days.
Though I know for him the sooner the better is probably more appropriate!

Hope you're doing good too!
Take care my good man!

Great news about your partner. Tell him well done from me. I'll bet 15th November cannot come fast enough for you both. Just make sure you get plenty of "you" time as well. If you take things easy and with no undue pressure - it should all be plain sailing (he says!). Relationships are something I am NOT an authority on - I only know how to break them!

Good luck and keep us posted. Maybe partner will come on here himself too.
