I broke my neck in 1984, and it was pinderfieldw hospital who supplied me with a feeding strap.  I am having trouble for several years getting a replacement, because of the metal part of it, having something to do with health and safety.  Can people have a look at the pictures, and suggest where it may be able to get something like this made?

I don't really need the strap that goes around your hand, I can get that from anywhere, I needed bit on the right in picture 3558, the part that the fork goes into and the attached bits of metal that goes into the ordinary feeding strap.

Thanks in anticipation for any help offered.

PS that doesn't seem to have worked, how do you insert pictures?

Hi Tremulous Tetra if your based in the Uk then the only thing I can suggest is maybe get in touch with Remap at www.remap.org.uk as they help disabled people with all sorts of things i.e adapting various equipment etc... etc... Hope this helps and good luck in your search, all the best Demi x

Well I got in touch with that "remap" through their website when people first mentioned it a few weeks ago.  I have heard nothing from them.  Going to go and try and find a telephone number for them.

In the end remap did put me in touch with somebody, we tried several different things, but in the end it was better to make several of the right angled pieces of metal.

Could still do with some of the leather straps that go round the handed, as anybody got an idea where I can get hold of them?

has anybody got any idea where I could get hold of a couple of the feeding straps like this, don't need the metal bit, and I don't need the pouch for receiving the fork/spoon.
