I'm over here for the winter and volunteering for the adaptive ski programme whilst here. They would really like to get the word out about their programme and get more people involved in skiing, whether you're a never-ever or double black diamond standard they can cater for everyone.
Whistler is a great ski town with lots going on besides the skiing - apres, shopping, spas, dog-sledding, bungy jumping, zip trek, the list goes on!

It's not far from Vancouver International Airport. It is about an hour and a half bus journey to Whistler:

There are also a number of companies that do transfers in limo’s, SUV’s etc, which if there are a few of you work out the better way to get here.
Also if you hire a car in Vancouver, insist that it has snow tyres on….some don’t then have all sorts of problems when they get up here.

Sounds great! Although I was never sporty before my accidents or after.
Looks good though albeit that I am not allowed to fly due to a head injury so shall have to content myself with looking from my armchair!

Everyone is getting into this now - Battling Back (UK), Wounded Warriors (USA) Back Up, etc.

My mate seems to always be away on holidays - lucky him - some of us have to work for a living and only get 4 weeks holiday!

  I am trying to talk my man into going!!! Sounds great- not to mention we live in WISCONSIN in the States, so we could potentially drive! He is still pretty apprehensive, being new to this body- he is a quad but has a lot of movement- he is young and WAS active and edgy and brave before the accident- WHY NOT NOW? I hope he will try- maybe next year!
