As a newbie carer, I need as much info as possible. The forum has a link to Amazon's books on SCI, so I purchased "Living with spinal cord injury", by Adrian Cristian.
Frankly, this is of very little use; for starters there is no mention whatsoever of central cord syndrome or incomplete injuries, which is what Mrs Phil has. It is also American, and has little of relevance to the UK scene.
Are there any books that can be recommended by forum readers? I am loath to purchase further without this.

hi phil,

the ABC of spinal cord inury is supposed to be good,

the most comprehensive guide is probably 'Moving Forward 4' by the UK spinal injuries association,

before buying it you may wish to download free factsheets here:-

http://spinal.co.uk/H-00.aspx

they will send you out an info pack/DVD too if you contact them
