We are looking for spouses, parents or siblings of spinal cord injured individuals to participate in a survey that we are conducting. This information will be used for a thesis that will be used to help and assist other SCI individuals. Please reply to this thread and your help is greatly appreciated.  I was in a diving accident 8 years ago and I have a level C-4,5,6 injury. My mom is currently attending the Graduate Institute in Milford, CT pursuing a Masters Degree in Experiential Health & Healing. (Integrative Medicine) She is doing her thesis on the needs of family members following spinal cord injury. Her goal is to see what needs are most important to family members, what needs do not seem to be met--short term & long term, and what family members have done in order to have their needs met and achieve wellness. She has created a questionnaire and will need participants to help answer these questions. Following her studies, she plans to work at a rehabilitation hospital working with family members of SCI patients helping them to adapt to the situation. Thanks so much for your help.

If you still want someone to take your survey, I would be glad to. My nephew had a car accident 2 months ago, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down, but blessed to alive. So as his aunt, I am still struggling with how to help.

(July, 9, 2007) my nephew Zach ... to much at times a fast and free moving spirit ... suffered Spinal Cord ischemia, from 10 hours of surgery attempting to repair a torn ascending aorta and save his life...he shouldn't be here, but God kept him here for a purpose. I pray he discovers it.
