I see that my friend, "Deano", has joined the site, although hasn't posted as yet.

With that in mind, I tried to send him a Personal Message (PM) to welcome him!! However, the system is telling me that it doesn't recognise him as a member!!?? Does it only work when they're online??!!

Hi Jude,
I tried to send him one too. Hes not on the member list yet, so maybe approval has to come from admin (Andy) before one becomes a full member. I know sometimes this is done on forums to reduce spammers. Theres usually not many of us around on the weekend... so give it another try in a few days.

it was SO kind of you to try and message him too!! 

I've chatted to him this morning, and he's still awaiting the email, in order to activate his account, so that explains it!!!!

New members have to 'activate' account before they can use all the features of the forums.  However I can activate his account which I'll do now

I'll let him know!! Having said that, I know he has an assessment some time this week, so he's rather pre-occupied with the prospect of that, I think?? If not, then get your cute little butt in here, Deano!!!!!
